A general Chinese course teaches you to order food and describe your family. It does not teach you to read an acceptance record, challenge a QC report, or push back on a supplier's delivery date.
Mochina — operated by Clever Academy — runs four industry tracks for learners already at HSK 3 or above, each built around a catalogue of real workplace situations rather than a chapter list.
The four tracks
- Construction & infrastructure — drawings, acceptance and handover, safety briefings, site meetings
- Manufacturing & QA — production lines, quality control, maintenance, shift reports
- Cross-border e-commerce — sourcing platforms, supplier negotiation, logistics
- Aviation & services — airport operations, ground handling, hospitality
How they are built
Each track runs about 30 sessions, twice a week, in groups of up to eight — small enough that everyone speaks in every class. The outcome is defined as a can-do list: a specific set of situations the learner should be able to handle by the end, agreed at the start rather than described vaguely afterwards.
At least 40% of class time goes to those situations — role-play, short writing, real documents — which is also true of the exam-preparation courses. The point is not to know the words but to use them under the pressure of an actual meeting.
